EcoPeace launched its International Jordan River Photography Exhibition to raise awareness of the critical state of the River on August 23 in Stockholm, Sweden during World Water Week 2011.
EcoPeace, in partnership with the Global Nature Fund, hosted a traveling exhibition throughout Europe to help raise awareness of the tragic state of the Lower Jordan River.
In partnership with photographer Eddie Gerald, EcoPeace has assembled a series of stark images of the Jordan Valley, highlighting its beauty, its heritage and its role in today’s conflict, contrasting the River’s current deteriorating situation with the magnificence of the landscape. Eddie Gerald’s documentary work has received numerous awards and citations worldwide.
The exhibition was launched on Aug 23rd at 18:00 at the Galleri Kontrast, on Hornsgatan 8, in Stockholm, Sweden at an exciting opening event with invited speakers including representatives from the Swedish International Development Agency, and EcoPeace. The exhibition was held through August 28th in Stockholm.
